With a wealth of experience in all contract packing services offered we believe we can supply both an advisory service for the birth of a project as well as a practical service to ensure the realisation of the project.
Our good name is well known throughout the industry we serve and as we strive to maintain and improve this we also look at continuous improvement and diversification of our services into other areas. As would be expected every job is different and A & S Packing strive to maintain competitive prices and quotes with every contract packing task being priced on an individual basis.
Quality Assurance
With all companies being accredited to the British Standards Institute ISO9001:2000 we can offer an assurance of the quality of the finished product of any contract packing project we are requested to carry out. With excellent record keeping and paperwork retention we can also ensure full traceability on any product.
Auditing
The company carries out random sampling of all work as it is being processed and also on finished goods.
Full internal audits on all our systems and procedures are carried out on a regular basis.
As part of the accreditation to ISO9001:2000 we have routine audits at all depots by the British Standards Institute assessor.
Customer Audits
We have welcomed many audits from our current customers and as expected would welcome any from new or prospective customers.
Her Majesty’s Customs & Excise
Approval
A & S Packing has two of its premises approved by Her Majesty’s Customs & Excise as Trade Facility Warehouses. This approval allows us to carry out any of our contract packing processes on goods that are in a Duty Suspended status.
Experience
A & S Packing has carried out numerous contract packing operations on duty suspended goods for various blue chip companies. These include long standing brands and also product launches of new brands.
Security
As you would expect from a bonded warehouse security is of the utmost importance and all warehouses have recognised intruder alarms, steel shuttering and palisade fencing. Added security of 24 hour guards can be accommodated at the customers’ request.
Workforce
All employees of A & S Packing are employed on a permanent basis by the company to ensure the consistency and quality of service that we supply to our customers.
All employees are placed through the company’s training programme during their initial employment. This is followed up by regular refresher training during the course of their employment.
With the benefit of three depots throughout the United Kingdom we are able to offer line support staff from the nearest location to the customer premises thus cutting down on the costs involved. We also have the capability of dealing with large or time sensitive work by utilizing our workforce between the three depots or operating twenty four hours a day seven days a week.
